Nursing service thrive towards the promotion of quality care to the clients entrusted under their care thereby enhancing health on a continual basis , and tries to focus on holistic care. Presently, nursing service has altogether 132 staff nurses, out of which there are 20 BSc Nurses, 95 GNM and 17 ANM Nurses.

Overview

Nursing service thrive towards the promotion of quality care to the clients entrusted under their care thereby enhancing health on a continual basis, and tries to focus on holistic care. Presently, the nursing service has altogether 132 staff nurses, out of which there are 20 BSc Nurses, 95 GNM, and 17 ANM Nurses.

Nursing services have specialized Diploma Nurses namely -Oncology Nurses, Neonatal Nurses, Diabetic Educators, Emergency and Trauma Nurses, Nurse Anesthetist, and Palliative and HICC Nurses. All these nursing services strive to improve the quality of care in their respective specialized departments.

  • Nursing services also take the initiative in giving training and workshop to update nurses to pace up with the current trend.

Nursing Services Unique to CIHSR

  • Nurse educators cater to specific diseases like CAPD/HTN/Diabetic, Renal replacement therapy, HIV, TB, and kidney disease.
  • Psychotherapy by Psychiatric nurses
  • CLHTC (Community lay leaders health training certificates program) under CMC Vellore. This program is especially for training missionaries, church leaders, and school teachers on basic primary health care.
  • Training and teaching primary health care workers like ASHA, and Anganwadi by community health Nurses.
