The Department of Radiation Oncology is a new addition / feather on the cap for CIHSR. The department plays a vital role in managing, treating and curing cancers with the help of Radiation therapy in cancer patients. The Department adheres to the international standard of quality with high precision equipment backed by an experienced team of specialized healthcare professionals.
With patient-centered approach, the department is committed to provide exceptional, cost-effective and compassionate care with the greatest possible patient safety. The team comprises of Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Radiation Therapists and Nurses with unique expertise and years of experience in specialized fields who work as a team to provide the best possible care for the patients.
Radiation therapy is the controlled use of ionizing radiation in cancer treatment. Nearly 80% of all cancer patients undergo Radiation Therapy as primary therapy or as adjuvant along with surgery/chemotherapy or for palliation of symptoms like pain. Our UNIQUE CLINAC system helps to deliver a number of treatment techniques, combined with leading edge features, it can aid clinicians to deliver quality treatment and help in accurately managing the day-to-day requirements in patient setup and positioning, while minimizing the risk to the surrounding healthy tissue.
- OPD services:
We offer outpatient services from Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 12.00 pm. Our OPD is located in the RT block. Appointment has to be taken from the Front desk.
- In-patient services:
In-patient services are offered for those patients who require chemotherapy and supportive care during radiation therapy. Patients can be admitted during Radiotherapy if coming from far off places.
