The Department of Haematology & Clinical Pathology is a unique department where Haematology, Coagulation, Clinical pathology and Immunohaematology tests are performed under one roof. It is a unique department in this state as it provides a wide array of tests to aide clinicians in the OPD, day care centre and in-patients.

The Department of Haematology & Clinical Pathology is a unique department where Haematology, Coagulation, Clinical pathology and Immunohaematology tests are performed under one roof. It is a unique department in this state as it provides a wide array of tests to aide clinicians in the OPD, day care centre and in-patients.
The Department is equipped with the latest and high end Automated Cell analyzer, Automatic ESR analyzer and Automated Coagulometer for routine and special tests. Apart from Automated analyzer, the department also conducts manual tests such as special staining like Leishman’s , Iron staining, H & E stains and other special tests like Sickling test, L.E. Cell, Urine Haemosiderin etc.
The Department has its own SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure manual) and protocols to standardize all procedures and tests thus benchmarking results. The Department has its own Quality policy manual to provide quality and reliable reports to the patients and doctors at the right time. It is also involved in various teaching, academic and research work.
In 2014, it initiated a diploma course: The diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, which has a duration of 2 1/2 years under CMAI (Christian Medical Association of India).
The department is committed to providing patient-centered policies and services with due acknowledgment to the competent technologists who man the laboratories.
