Radiology deals in a vast array of human anatomy, physiology, radiology is diagnostic as well as therapeutic , diagnostic radiography in today’s modern medicine have becomes a necessity in any primary health sector as it deals with the primary diagnosis of any ailments.

Radiology covers diagnostic means namely CT scan, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and plain radiography. departments like urology are covered mainly by lithotripsy which is a therapeutic procedure for breaking calculus (kidney stones) and also by a diagnostic procedure called IVU which helps in the study of the collecting system. departments of the reproductive medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology mainly uses the means of fluoroscope which gives a real time imaging.

The Christian institute of health sciences and research offers a two year diploma course in radio diagnosis technology course know as the diploma in radio diagnostic technology (DRT) which was started in 2011 under the paramedical sciences programme. The course is approved by the Christian medical association of India (CMAI ). The first 3 batch have graduated, the basic qualification to undergo the training is 10 +2 (science) or equivalent qualification.
