CIHSR has no restriction policy on our patients’ visitors during the normal circumstances. We know that visits from our near and dear ones provide support and reassurance for patients and families alike.

But the COVID-19 pandemic is a difficult time for all of us. We must do everything we can to prevent the spread of this disease and protect our patients, staff and visitors.

In order to do this, our new visitor policy puts strong limits on visitors entering our hospitals and care facilities during this pandemic. As per the latest policy, only one attendant will be allowed to accompany patients coming for check-ups and only two attendants will be allowed for the admitted patients.

Out Patient Departments:

Our OPDs are functioning as usual but we advise all patients to visit the hospital only if you are very sick and need urgent medical care. Teleconsultation service can be availed for non-emergent conditions.

Should all patients be wearing masks?

All patients and relatives are required to wear a face mask as you enter the hospital premises for infection prevention and control measure during this pandemic.

How long will this visitor policy last?

We cannot predict exactly how long active transmission of the COVID-19 might last, so we must wait and monitor its progress before we can make changes to the visitor policy.

Are there COVID-19 patients at Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR)?

All patients and relatives are required to wear a face mask as you enter the hospital premises for infection prevention and control measure during this pandemic.
