Overview
Diabetes is a type of Non communicable disease that is on the rise in this region. There are numerous irreversible complications due to this disease which can be prevented if detected early.
The Department of Medicine runs this unique Diabetes Clinic with a team of doctors, Diabetes Educators and a Dietician. The Team emphasizes on the holistic concept in the management of diabetes mellitus which includes attention to diet, exercise, lifestyle modification, and medications.
Every patient is also screened by the Ophthalmologist (Eye Doctor) to look for any diabetic complications in the eye. In addition to this, foot care is provided in liaison with the Department of General Surgery and Orthopaedics if needed.
