The staff of CIHSR just completed its second strategic planning meeting for the next 5 years. As we look ahead, it is appropriate that we look and flesh out our Vision and Motto.
Vision – To develop Christ centered leadership in healthcare, transforming communities through compassion, innovation and excellence.
Motto – Serve, Nurture, Transform
We need to be Christ centered by incorporating the mindset, heart and purpose of Christ in our lives, work, relationships and processes. We aim to develop leaders from the many fine potentials among us. One good leader can make a huge difference in our society and healthcare in the region. We have a treasure house of leaders who need to be empowered to make that difference. We exist to serve the many hurting people who come to us with expectations of healing and restored dignity. We do not exist to serve ourselves. Our staff are our greatest strength and assets and each needs to be nurtured to God’s potential for them. This will require proactive individual attention, much effort and compassion. We live under very difficult circumstances in the most underdeveloped part of the country and so we will need to be innovative if we are to catch up with the rest of the country. Doing the same things again and again and expecting different results will not get us very far. Patients who come here give us the privilege of serving them and they are the means to transforming us. As we relate to them, let us watch ourselves to see what God is doing in our lives. The process of their healing will also be the means to our transformation. We started off small with humble beginnings and God has blessed us richly. He causes growth to happen in our lives and we must honor Him by excelling in all that we do, for His spirit in us is an excellent Spirit
